Training ATTIK for VRay

How V-Ray training is helping this housing site keep up with the Indian property boom

Aptly-named Indian real estate site housing.com has gone from strength to strength, marrying the country’s lucrative property boom with its love of all things tech. It’s hugely impressive given the site was only started in 2012 by a handful of students from Bombay’s Institute of Technology.

Housing.com’s rapid expansion has lead to the development of spin-off architectural visualization firm ATTIK. Launched in summer 2014, it provides a full suite of services for the image-heavy industry. It’s truly pushing the boundaries of architectural visualization—but creating high-fidelity building previews requires expertise and training.

Renowned designer Lenny Schutz was hired by housing.com to launch ATTIK. In order to make it stand out in the crowded real estate market it’s brought with it a number of innovations: potential buyers can virtually wander around new homes with Slice View, or use Design Lapse to explore interior design options. It’s also created a revolutionary online booking platform integrating e-commerce with experiential technology.

According to Schutz, ATTIK’s fundamental selling point is its ability to bring its clients’ desires to life. “From the beginning, we focus on the client vision,” he says. “A project team is built on our end based on those requirements. We come back to the client with every iteration. Sometimes that’s one round of changes, and sometimes it’s twenty. We understand that it’s important to get that vision right.”

It’s an approach which has paid off: 15,000 builders across India have chosen to work with ATTIK.
